2009 Video Game Awards

With the Video Game Awards right around the corner I thought I'd give a bit of a heads up.

There's a general overview along with the list of awards up for grabs after the jump.

The Spike Video Game Awards (VGA) is an award show that recognizes the best computer and video games of the year. Started in 2003, the Spike TV Video Game Awards garnered much attention, since video game awards were not common prior to its introduction. The 2009 VGAs will be held on December 12, 2009 and there will be an exclusive look at Halo: Reach and UFC 2010 Undisputed. Also featured will be a mystery shooter from 2K Games, the world premieres of Crackdown 2, Medal of Honor , a mystery undercover game, Tron and an announcement from LucasArts.

Nominees are submitted by a panel of video game journalists.[1] Winners in each category are chosen by an online public vote.[2]
